Teasing and toying with an affair
I’ve been married for 13 years and never cheated, ever. I’m male in my early 40s. Great relationship with my wife (F, same age). But the sex became infrequent and dull. I decided to keep my mind open to explore the possibilities outside the marriage. I set up accounts on a sugar dating site, Ashley Madison, and Tinder (where I also was seeking to experiment with a man). The farthest I’ve gone: One boring Sugar date with an 18 year old; one decent, promising date with a 19 year old. The latter and I texted a while after, then I broke it off. Currently texting with someone my own age I met on Ashley Madison; we’re taking it slow but have talked about meeting. What I’m doing amounts to cheating, but I don’t plan to do anything physical with these women. I’ve put that line in the sand.
The positive: All of this has made me really appreciate my wife and the life we have (AND we’ve revived our sex life as a result).
The negative: I am concerned I’ll run into one of those sugar babies when I’m out with my family— it’s unlikely but possible.
Also of note: after so many years with one woman, I’m just so so so curious what it would be like to be with someone else. I wish I could just get a “Hall Pass” from my wife (I’d be happy to give her one, too).
You should just go out and buy yourself a whore if you want to see what being with another woman would be like. No strings attached, pay and play, and if you did see her in public with the wife and kids in tow, she either wouldn't remember you, or, she'd be professional about it and ignore you. You might have some sort of guilt fit, but, that would be on you.
