Girl have BF but still seeing "friend"

Hi, I’m at wit’s end with my boyfriend.

I’m in my early 20s and we have ben together for 3 years. we’ve had our ups and downs but we have been arguing over one issue.

He has repeatedly asked me to cut ties with one of my longest guy friends. I’ve other guy friends too, but the only thing is that this particular guy was my first fwb and the one I lost my V-card to.

I’ve known him for 8 years vs my boyfriends of only 3 years.

I admit I am promiscuous and my BF knew that before he dated me, but I really don’t get it, he’s just a friend, its been 8 years and I have no feelings for him whatsoever. I really don't understand what's wrong. I don't think its cheating if there are no feelings involved.

I have to admit, although the sex with my friend is so much more better and exciting then having vanilla sex with my BF, its just sex nothing more.

I really love my BF but is it really reasonable to be asked to cut ties with the guy I've known longer then him? I’ve already done everything i can to please him. How can i gain his trust…
