Uneasy time at home right now
Two weeks ago I step out of the shower and my youngest daughter, Jennifer (9) is standing there waiting for me. She surprised me and I’m standing there looking for something to cover myself (seemed like forever) and finally manage to grab the only thing I can, a washcloth. “The boys are in my room!” she says. “Well go tell your mother! (Who I yell for “KAREN!!”) “She’s busy”, Jen tells me. “Ok”, I say “I’ll go deal with them in a minute”. A few more moments of awkward silence. “Right NOW”, she demands. “Jen, sweetheart, daddy is naked; I’ll deal with the boys as soon as I get dressed.” “But they are in MY room right now and I KNOW what a penis looks like.” Well, my jaw dropped open on that one! “Well sweetie, you haven’t seen daddy’s so let’s keep it that way, ok?” I swear sometimes she seems like she is 9 going on 20! She leaves, I get dried off, dressed and go get the boys. Later at dinner I try to reinforce some ground rules. “From now on we knock and ask for permission to come into someone’s room (I look sternly at the boys) and we don’t go into the bathroom because the water may be running and someone might not hear you.” (I look at Jen). “Are you mad because I saw your penis?” She asks. I look at my wife and then our older daughter, Michelle (12) pipes in “We’ve both seen you naked and your penis.” My wife and I both stare at her in disbelief! “WHAT?” was our simultaneous reaction? “We’ve seen you naked having sex”, she says giggling. “When was this?” my wife asks. “A while ago, we came home from school and you and daddy were in the bedroom with the door open.” “We?” I ask. “Yes,” she says, “Jen and I both watched. “How long did you watch?” Karen asks, “The whole time, until you were done and daddy pulled his penis out”. I’m staring straight down at my plate unable to look at my children. I remembered the afternoon, I got home early and Karen and I wanted a ‘quicke’ before the kids got home at 3:30. Karen and I look at each other and shake our heads. What are we going to do? We didn’t want to make it seem like a BIG deal, but we don’t want to just let it go either. “OK, in the future, even if the door is open, you should KNOCK on our door BEFORE you come in OR look”, Karen says to the girls. I’m hoping that was the end of it but now I’m concerned that if the girls talk (or have already said something to their friends) that we’re going to get accused of having sex in front of our kids, and it disturbs me personally that both of my girls have seen me with an erection or I’m accused of exposing myself to them. Will this spark further curiosity on their part? I get this freakish nightmare of them playing doctor with their younger brothers, while Karen and I are screwing in the background. Needless to say, Karen and I have not had relations since then.
This kind of terrifies me about having kids so it's really nice to see how experienced parents have dealt with this situation.

Yoy have to live your life man. Don't give them complexes by pretending/ or stopping your life.
Don't worry, we have always left the bathroom door open with the vent fan on so anybody that wanted to use the toilet while someone was in the shower or bath could, our daughter is 17 and does not mind but she is a bit concerned when one of her friends stays over so she ensures they stay in the granny flat now but other than that she does the same as my wife and I.
We have never hid the fact when we have sex and our daughter certainly does not get embarrassed at all.
Get over it Buddy, most if not all married couples with young kids have been caught out rooting my 10 year old daughter was supposed to be at her friends overnight but her father got sick so her mother dropped her back later the same day right at the time when my wife was in the doggie position on the lounge room floor and I was humping her so deep, with all her moans and little screams plus me saying things like take that puppy etc. we did not hear our daughter enter and stand behind us in the doorway she let me finish and when I withdrew smartly/sarcastically said excuse me but what are you two doing, OMG we both could have just died on the spot and wished the earth could swallow us up, she stayed for what seemed an eternity then headed to her room we could hear her laughing all the way.
Nothing else ever said about it but we only do it in our bedroom now and have an internal lock on the door.
I can definitely understand him being embarrassed. Like you said, everybody gets caught by their kids at least once and it is always mortifying the first time. My daughter walked in on me screwing my wife at the "worst possible time" if you get my drift so neither one of us could really get up since my girl had cum leaking out of her and I was a sticky mess as well. The part that made it doubly embarrassing was that this was the night that our son was conceived and she asked us, when we told about the baby, if we made him that night. Ughhhh...kids...
