I’m a 21 year old furloughed hotel housekeeper in my second year of junior college. Mom abandoned us when I was in 1st grade it’s just been me and dad since. Dad’s a firefighter and works long hours and shift work. Joe (not real name) and dad are the same age and grew up together. He’s also a carpenter. During the stay at home order, Joe’s been helping dad build a pergola & outdoor bar. My classes are canceled for the rest of the semester so I’ve been helping.

Dad and Joe had worked on the pergola the day before but two final pieces wouldn’t fit and Dad was on shift the next day. Joe had to make two extra pieces at his shop and asked to come over the next day to attach them. Dad told him sure and told me to cook lunch for him.
Joe’s a regular at our house he hangs out with dad and watch golf tournaments.
I was 14 when Joe stayed in our spare room for a couple of months. He was getting a divorce and their house sold faster than expected. During the short time he stayed with us, he taught me how to cook and I discussed things I didn’t feel comfortable with dad. He even took me to get on birth control. When dad was at work, I’d invite guys to come over and we’d be alone in my room with the door shut. Joe noticed a guy leaving one day and asked if I was sexually active. I felt better admitting it him and not my dad. He went out that night and bought condoms for me to stash in my room and took me to the health department the next day. As far as I know, my dad still doesn’t know.
I was holding the ladder, handing Joe screws and we started talking about relationships. He just recently got dumped by a woman that didn’t tell him she was married and going back to her husband. He took that hard especially because he didn’t know she was married in the first place.
I told him I have better luck finding a random hookup than a bf. I told him it’s been 3 weeks since my last time and asked how long for him. He said he didn’t feel comfortable answering. I said, ‘how’d you think I felt when you asked me if I was having sex a few years ago.’ He said, ‘good point’.

On Monday, Joe volunteered to build a ramp for an elderly neighbor. I insisted on cleaning his place while he’s next door building the ramp. His place isn’t bad but he’s a typical bach. living the bach. lifestyle. btw I clean rooms for a hotel and see BAD all the time. I’m going crazy with nothing to do. I’m going to spend the day spring cleaning & laundry then cook dinner for the both of us. I’m expected to go back to work June 1st unless the SAH order is extended again. This might be a fun way to spend the month of May.
