Drinks

This question is for the ladies. Why if I am out with my wife and I tell her pay for are dinner or drinks she gets pissed. But when I am out drinking at a watering hole girl I meet, or bartenders will buy me drinks even if I don't ask. Even took a bartender to a concert while her husband was home and my wife was home and she said drinks are on me all night.
