We're at wits end. We moved to the city so our young daughter would enjoy diversity. Our area is integrated, we have a mix of friends, as did our daughter. Schools aren't great but we're lucky to have sent her to private.
Things were fine til high school. She's smart, played piano, studied all kinds of art we had a perfect family. For 11th grade she wanted to experience public HS. She started to change that summer. She'd had varied interests but now her whole focus was black. About other cultures, she said everything was stolen from blacks. Her clothes changed, she got spray tans, her lips plumped and recently permed her long pale blond hair. Her language changed to that of her new friends and rap lyrics. Everything fuck this fuck that. We didn't mind cultural influence but she was consumed by one; all others ridiculed as inferior.
Always into art, her latest passion photography, she went to the worst part of the city for photos of gangs, drug addicts and the homeless. She created new photos: b/w closeups contrasting seemingly nude black & white bodies hinting at sexuality but tasteful. At first shocked we had to concede she was nearly 18. Our daughter came home from Christmas break after her first semester at college. She brought her roommate because we were told the girl's family was vacationing in Greece for the Holidays and she wasn't going.

Our daughter started dating a drug dealer and she'd be out for days at a time without us knowing where she was,id heard some stuff about her but didn't believe it until I found out where this guy lived and parked up down the street,a car pulled up and I saw her getting out of it with who must have been her drug dealing boyfriend, they went into a house and I just watched for ages,3 more cars pulled up and out got 6 black guys,they went into the house where my daughter was,I had to see what was happening and went around the back of the house,I couldn't believe what I was seeing,through the window I saw my daughter on a bed getting fucked by all of the guys I saw walking in, she moved in with her boyfriend and things got worse,she was being pimped out to anyone and everyone,I even pretended to be a paying customer and was in the same room as her as a large group of men fucked her,she didn't know what day it was because of the drugs she had taken

Due to the photos and other things we discovered later, her girlfriends were angry and she came home one day beaten up. It was then we found out she carried a knife. The beating only stopped when she threatened them with it. The boys came to her defense which only made things worse. She hopes the middle east and Ukraine conflicts and Mexican border are resolved only so the focus is on blacks again. She won't celebrate Christmas with us. Only Kwanzaa. We ask whats wrong with multi-cultures. She won't reply.
We're at wits end. We want our precious smart, compassionate, thoughtful, happy, beautiful daughter. What do we do?
You need to invite and welcome in her new culture and friends. Have you or your wife ever had interest in interracial sexual experiences. Your wife almost certainly has.

We're open minded but what we're afraid of it that she's in a phase and will ruin her life. Regrets that can't be reversed can be tragic. Every plan she had and hope for her future is gone. We understand that growing up means changes but we think she's making choices for the wrong reasons and trying to undo a wrong. What's she is missing is that she didn't make anything wrong! She's changing in what she thinks are good ways but nobody is appreciating it or her. But we're losing her. She argues with us all the time, calls us terrible names and taunts us. We've never been racists or felt superior in any way at all but she's saying we were raising her in a bubble and it's just not true. We'll never cut her out of our lives and she's always welcome but I don't know she feels the same. We're heartbroken and helpless.
