Caught in a prostitution sting
Been using escorts for many years, not a single issue until last weekend. I talked to the chick on the phone, everything seemed legit. I walked in the room and two cops popped out of the bathroom and handcuffed me. I spent 2 nights in jail and now I'm awaiting my court date. Never once did we discuss sex. I specifically told her I was just wanting to spend time with her. I guess I need to get a lawyer. Anyone have experience with this?

By all means get the best defense lawyer you can afford. By as much time as you can so if you have to start with a court appointed lawyer do so but plead not guilty. You can always have another lawyer take the case once you get things in order..
Plead not guilty tell the State your broke. They will bring down the charge courts still got backlog from covid. To bad you were not in Cali don't even got to post bail
Yea, you talked sex or the cops wouldn't have the evidence they need to hold or charge you. If there's holes in their story or they don't have proof backed up by evidence the DA would throw out the charges. Lawyers advice hire a local attorney! Don't rely on a court appointed one.
You need a lawyer, not to be posting confessions/queries on the internet.
