Several years ago I decided to do some camping at a local town park (campsites) to get out of the hot house for awhile. I packed my gear Sunday night and went right to the campground after work on Monday. The park office was closed but they have a drop box to sign in and pay at. When I arrived at my site there was a car two sites down but no camping equipment out. The tent sites were in a grove of trees that had a large up hill grass area behind me. As I was getting things out I noticed a couple sitting by a single large apple tree out in the grass area. Being a weekday there were a few spread out campers. None were near me. I continued setting up my tent and as I was putting the fly on the tent something caught my eye. I looked in the direction of the movement and there was the young couple at the site where the car was laying towards the back of the site on a blanket. Also as they drove away I could hear a police siren in the distance . I had a pretty good idea where it was headed. I grabbed some laundry I had and headed out to was it.I was about halfway out of the park when the police car drove by me headed to my area. I learned a lesson that night. I kept my shower things in the car and stopped every night that week to shower before heading to my tent and hoping they would return.

I don't think they saw me. I was behind my tent. They called because the couple was naked walking around trying to gather their things . I left because I didn't want to be questioned by the cops. There would have been no doubt I saw them.

I think it makes more sense to assume the campers in the car that came down the road called the cops.
