Well. If you cheat you will be caught. Don't be smug. You will be caught. That's all there is to it. I say this because I was just caught. I have hurt two people with my selfish, nearsighted, ignorant, disrespectful and absolutely pathetic behavior. I am a huge loser. I got cocky. I was smug. But I am actually dirt. I am lower than dirt. I can't make this right. I can't fix this at all, and probably more people will be hurt by this. I have no words for how sick I feel right now, but it's too late to be sorry. I shouldn't have done it in the first place.
Don't do it. If you want or need more just tell your partner. If they can't abide by that then you need to do right by them. Either make yourself be happy with what you have or leave. This is the only way you will have self respect later.

Oh no I don't deserve any sympathy. He walked in. Caught. We weren't in the most compromising situation possible but the intimacy level was undeniable.
