I helped out my wife's sister with a problem it was pretty serious she could have gotten a lot of trouble.

You didn't follow the agreement by deviation from the spirit of the verbal contract. The most fundamental thing that this indicates is that you are not the kind of person to be trusted with anything.
If you trivialize a sexual act allowed in a certain level of trust and you figured out a way to safely get around it for your advantage then you are the kind of person that would commit a murder or molest a child if it worked to your advantage.
