You would have never thought

I had a couple days work correcting a job that was done before me, it was an attic conversion.
The customer was a lady guessing mid forties, she was very posh, dressed and spoke with style!
She called up to say she has made me a drink, when I collected my drink she had a friend with her.
On my return to the attic I sat on the stairs replying to texts on my phone, guessing she thought I was back in the attic.
I heard her talking to her friend, Roger was a joke, big dick but didn’t know how to use it, her friend said, what about the other guy on Tuesday, oh her was much better, definitely see him again.
As I stood up to lean closer they must of heard me and stopped talking.
I quietly and quickly went back upstairs.
