I hate to say it, work on your appearance if you already know girls find you off-putting. Women are just as shallow as we, their motivations are just different. They like cute too, and the cuter you are the better your chances. I lost 120 pounds this last year from changing what I eat only, I dress sharp, smell nice, and now have no problems starting conversations with pretty women. Sad, but true. Nothing else is different about me, other than I take care of my temple and they see it. Seems like if you're more or less thin except for the pod, that can be remedied by diet alone too. I also actively pursue, make small talk, let them know I think they're cute, and most flake out. It's a numbers game, no discouragement needed.
