I lied to a girl , I still think about her 25 years later
I had broken up with a girl, we had been together six months. I broke up because I had told a series of lies and half truths which couldn't be sustained into a long term relationship. I had lied about my job and college degrees, lied about money, lied about how I was in an important family back in my hometown. I fibbed about how I traveled to many other countries, saw the leaning tower, Eiffel tower , you name it.
There was just so much where I wanted to impress her about me and I couldn't keep it up. We'll, you know how it is, you meet someone, you don't know if you are going to be in a long term relationship, so you might tell some stories which aren't exactly true.
This honestly sounds less like lying to impress and more like lying pathologically.
