Best Friend Betrayal

I had been gaining weight lately and had lost interest in myself after kids and being a house wife. My birthday was coming up, my best friend who was gorgeous, said she would like to help me feel a bit better and offered to help me with a B’day party and a makeover. I was so excited as I had visions of looking and feeling attractive but had lost my way over the years. My husband encouraged the idea and my friend said my husband will go crazy for me! I got excited and got caught up in it all, she convinced me to cut my hair really short, as it was on trend. As soon as it was done I looked in the mirror at the hairdresser’s and thought I look so much fatter my new short hair highlighted my fat face and my double chins looked so much worse! I started to cry and the hair dresser and my friend convinced me I looked trendy and with some nice earrings it will look softer. Next was makeup and we went to a place where my friend did all the talking I just sat there and they did my face when it was finished It looked so heavy on my face and the colours didn’t flatter me. My friend was smiling and clapping her hands saying you look amazing.. so pretty …Really I asked? we went to dress shop, I’m a size 18, again she picked out a purple dress that she said would highlight my curves, it was a fitted size 16 and I was bursting out of it.. it was so tight the fabric pulled across my big belly, saggy boobs and wide arse, yet the shop attendant said I looked great a purple vision that went well with my green eyeshadow… I thought we’ll maybe, just maybe I do look ok?
At my birthday party all my family and friends were there and I walked in and I felt insecure, I was looking for my best friend for a bit of a confidence boost and I see her looking absolutely stunning smiling standing and flirting with my husband.
