Some time after my Mom died, my Dad had found it hard coping and we had to keep checking on him as he had tried to overdose one time. This particular evening, I can only assume he had been drinking, he said "here, what do you think of these," and handed over half a dozen old photos. That was a cruel thing to do to your dad, but I understand why you did it with the religious thing. People think that religions are different than cults, but they aren't. They have to do things that you regret all the time.
