I got my daughter a job as a server at a sports bar
I'm sure I'll get criticism here but I don't care and I need to VENT!
My daughter is crazy and I've had enough! I was patient with her through all her middle school 'furry phase' and high school 'TickTok phase' but now that she's in college, I've had enough! All she want's to do is stay at home and draw and color! She refused to get her driver's license until she registered for college. Plus, now that she's in college, she instantly turned into a smart a$$ know it all. Even when she's talking to my husband and I that both have Master's degrees. Sorry to rant.
Hell, all her first semester classes were art and drawing. At this pace, she'll never graduate with any degree!
She recently told me she needed extra money for coloring books and crayons. I told her to get a job. We had a fight. My husband and I put our foot down and told her she's 19 and needs to get a part-time job!
My husband offered to talk with his friend that owns an insurance office and she could answer the phone and make appointment.
This is where I'm gonna catch it but I don't care. I insisted she get a job as a server at a sports bar. No it's not the one with orange shorts because we don't have one close to us any longer. However, I'm not ashamed to say I worked at our local H**ters through college. It was during the 90s and I even stayed on as a part time trainer through the early 2000s. I had fun and made great tips!
There is a local sports bar in our town my husband I go to often to hang out with friends. I talked with the owner and he's willing to give my daughter a chance. Even my husband agreed with me. We believe this is the best way to get her ass out of the house, WORKING a job AND interacting with people! The dress code is tame. It's a black fitted t-shirt with the bar's name and denim jeans and her choice of shoes. Boots or tennis shoes. I took her shopping because she doesn't even own a bra! I bought her two! I also made sure she bought Levis that fit and NOT 5 sizes to large. Hell! She can wear size 2!
We love our daughter but she's turned into a recluse! We have tried everything. This is bad for a mom to say but my daughter needs to learn how to wear makeup, fix her hair, dress for attention, shake her ass and flirt with guys! OMG!
She started on Super Bowl weekend and we can already tell a difference in her attitude.
