Covering our tracks
We were meeting our friend. He is my wife’s lover, and I like to watch. He has been using the excuse that he is going to an NBA game when meeting with us, but his wife was starting to get suspicious about his activities. We had just arrived at the hotel when his wife started calling and texting him. At first, he ignored her repeated attempts to reach him, but it was interfering with the interaction. I eventually found some crowd noises on YouTube and played it in the background, while he called her. He pretended as if he was in the mezzanine of the arena. The conversation was brief but her intent to verify that he was at the game was obvious.
While he and my wife got busy, I went online and purchased a couple tickets to the game on StubHub. They were cheap since the game has already started. I downloaded them to my phone. I went to the hotel desk and found that if I emailed the tickets to the desk, they would print them for me. I folded one of the tickets up and crinkled it a bit as if it had been used. I gave the ticket to him and had him put it in his pants pocket as he dressed after they finished. I instructed him to leave it for her to find when she did the laundry. It worked like a charm.
Yes! There has been a handful of times we had to make excuses or lie for someone. We've mostly had to make things up to tell her family or our friends. Nothing as elaborate as printing a ticket out for one of our friends wife to find.
