Median number of lifetime sexual partners for men vs women
According to data from the CDC, the median number of lifetime sexual partners in the United States is around 4.3 for women and 6.3 for men. (please note the difference between median and average, if you don't please look it up before continuing). Since the average number of lifetime sexual partners between men and women have to be equal. To accept that data, one has to assume that there are a small number of women who have extremely high numbers of lifetime sexual partners and that there are not an equal number of men who have extremely high numbers. The CDC's data is not factually accurate and is most likely skewed by survey responses based on social expectations, where men are socially expected to have more partners and it is socially unacceptable for women to have high numbers. Any reasonable biologist will tell you that the exact opposite is true. The median number of lifetime sexual partners for women is more than twice the number for men.
I am an elderly man who has worked in marriage and family counseling for decades. I can tell you that the typical number for most married men is one or two. Most married men do not have affairs, mostly because there are not as many opportunities. There are a few men that have very high numbers, most of these men cannot give an accurate count and have numbers that are estimated in the hundreds. I estimate that the median for men is less than two while the inclusion of these Casanovas brings the average artificially high.
When it comes to married women, there are about 1/4 that have only had one or two lifetime sexual partners. The typical married woman, however, has enjoyed several sexual partners over the course of her marriage. I would estimate that then median number to be in the 6 to 8 range. I have met almost no married women that have had extremely high numbers.
I will tell you that women are much better at keeping their secrets, while men like to boaster.

Shit... my wife and i together have slept with around 60 different women.
