Eat Together, Stay Together
Donna's best friend, Julia, was always looking out for her. Whether it was helping with homework or sharing laughs Julia was always by Donna's side, but lately, Julia had taken their friendship to a whole new level when it came to food.
It all started one morning when Donna opened her locker to find a neatly wrapped peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich and a note from Julia: "A little something to start the day! - J"
Donna smiled, her heart warmed by her friend's thoughtfulness. She quickly devoured the sandwich, grateful for the extra breakfast to keep her tied up before running off to her first class.
Then, just before second period, Julia was at it again. She sat down next to Donna for class, her arms filled with extra goodies.
"Hey D, brought some extra snacks. Thought you might like them," Julia said, placing a bag of chocolate chip cookies and a carton of chocolate milk in front of her friend.
"Oh, thanks Jules!" Donna replied, already taking an eager bite of the cookies "you're the best"
And during recess, Julia pulled out a delightful surprise from her backpack—a large homemade brownie. "Here, D. My mom made these last night. I saved one just for you," she said with a grin.
Donna happily accepted the brownie, her eyes lighting up as the warm gooey center filled her out her mouth. "You really spoil me, Jules," she said around the big bite.
As the day went on, Julia kept sneaking snacks to Donna between classes - she handed her five granola bars during math, slipped her a large bag of chips during science, and even managed to stow away a few candies into her backpack during gym.
By the time the last period rolled around, Donna's stomach was feeling uncomfortably full. She looked down at her sweater, noticing that it was starting to ride up, exposing a small strip of her now-bloated belly. She tugged at the fabric, trying to pull it back down, but it was no use. Her belly had swollen too much from all the food her best friend had given her.
During the final class of the day, Julia leaned over and whispered, "I've got one more treat for you, D. It's your favorite, cheese crackers!" She discreetly passed a large packet of the treat to Donna, the triple cheese flavor she loved so much, who hesitated for a moment before accepting it.
As the teacher droned on, Donna slowly munched on the crackers, feeling her stomach stretch even more. She stifled a small burp, her face turning red and hoping no one noticed. By the time the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Donna's shirt was riding up so high that it barely covered her belly button.
Julia walked with Donna to her locker, a satisfied smile on her face. "Did you enjoy all the snacks today?" she asked, genuinely curious.
Donna nodded, though she felt a bit embarrassed about her bloated and gassy stomach. "Yeah, Jules, they were great. But I think I might have overdone it a little," she admitted, trying to keep any and all attention away from her swollen belly.
Julia laughed and gave Donna a playful nudge. "Well, you know what they say—friends who eat together, stay together!"
Donna couldn't help but laugh, despite her discomfort. "Thanks, Jul. You're the best friend anyone could ask for"
