My husband listened

I had been getting irritated with my husband, but I didn't want to lose my temper, so a few weeks ago he was walking around in his shorts and I just pulled his shorts down and gave him a hard smack on his bottom. To my surprise he didn't yell at me or smack me back - he never has hit me - he just looked at me and said "I guess I deserved that." I said "so you won't mind if I do it again," and he said that he would rather have a smack on his bottom than me screaming at him or calling him names or insulting or swearing or giving him the silent treatment for a week. So I have done it again, telling him that I need to do it or that he needs it, and I have got him to bend over the side of our sofa and I usually smack him hard five or six times, and he has always said that he deserved it. It takes away my feeling angry with him, and he says it makes him feel less guilty that he had done something to annoy me.
