Fired for a major ethics violation
I was fired for a major ethics violation yesterday at work. Despite being a top performing agent at the insurance firm i work at, the partners in our firm and their bosses at corporate told them they had no choice but to fire me and make an example of me. I dont think my life is ruined but my career in insurance is certainly is.
My firm's policy is that the agent, if they've represented the family for over 5 years, is responsible for delivering all death benefit checks when necessary. Unfortunately, one of my longtime clients recently passed away and i was responsible for delivering the Life insurance death benefit check to his wife.
While conducting the visit, having her sign the paperwork, and handing her the check, somehow she interpreted my consoling tone and behavior as flirting and got very comfortable with me. Since i am a guy, an immature one at that, i did not say no when she made an advance and things got started in a big way. We had very passionate, lively sex that afternoon.
To be honest, i did not think she would ever file any complaints or say anything at all but i guess she saw an opportunity for more money and called my firm. She said that i made a pass on her, she was vulnerable, etc. I know i am getting what i deserve and am not making any excuses.
That sucks. You got hosed.

Call her out on social media, she wanted a sympathy fuck and got one. Fuck her for doing this to you
