I noticed for a few days a week my neighbors daughter has been flagging me down as I drove by her bus stop. She told me she "just" missed her bus and begged for a ride to school.
When it happened once I thought it was okay, then it was happening once a week and she was telling me that it was because the cat got out, or she had to help with her baby brother, etc.
It's happened three times in the last week, well four really. Today I saw her at her bus stop flagging me down and I looked the other way and drove past. When I got to work I called her mom and told her thought I saw her daughter at the bus stop and just wanted to make sure she was okay.
Her mom chewed my ass out for not giving her a ride and leaving her out on the road alone. I let her rage herself over the phone and then calmly suggested that she buy her daughter an alarm clock, because the other alternative is that I start charging them for being their, not my, daughter's taxi.
I actually felt guilty for a while but now I decided that she's just going to have to get used to getting to the bus on time, and if she doesn't too bad.
Oh, she's 13 years old so she should know better.
With school starting up soon I wonder if this young lady plans on doing the same thing this coming year. I wonder if you should plan on spending some time with the family before school starts and setting some ground rules.
The 13 year old girl probably has a crush on you. While I commend you for standing up for yourself you could have a lot of fun with this.
Yea and if you go to far you'll end up in prison for a good 20 years. I wouldn't touch no 13/14 year old with a 20 foot pole.
