I am a guy and grew up liking girly tv shows, movies, and Music. Roswell, Kelly Clarkson, Anna Nalick, Dido, Avril Lavigne, Hoku, Grey's Anatomy, 10 Things I Hate About You, Snow Day, Sailor Moon, Mean Girls, Bring It On, Taylor Swift, etc. And still tend to lean towards similar stuff.
I always liked "girl power" attitude. A few times girls painted my nails, or to be silly put makeup on me. Or if I was in a play sometimes that would require makeup. And I really enjoyed those experiences.
I also sometimes home alone wear women's clothes or wonder what it would be like. Feels like some sort of combination of comforting and empowering. Not an all the time thing, and with a lot of research I don't think I feel the same as trans-individuals say they feel.
I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-09. I work in security in a conservative community, in a conservative state, surrounded by a conservative part of the country. So, it just isn't an option.
So, I am sad, alone, and unknown. I will likely die that way. Don't be like me.
