It's subtle and it is the context. Being away from home is an exotic feeling, like having a much-needed break from ordinary life. That tends to make people act a little differently. It also clicks into a fantasy realm, where maybe someone you have fancied at work is available, because our spouses aren't around. That leads to flirting, which is made easier after a few drinks. Being at the same hotel gives people a place to play. It all lines up for a perfect storm to have infidelity. There is a sense of being discrete and not talking about it after the trip. No one wants their spouses to find out. I kept my lips sealed. Well, not exactly my lower ones for a couple of those days on the trip. Those were wet and willing to communicate, haha.
