Back in 1996

High school graduation was only a few days past , and my last summer as a carefree teenager was upon me. I spent the time thinking about LA, my future home, and about a career in music.
It was on one of those hot South Texas nights that I got bored with my Sega Genesis and went to the convenience store for a drink and some snacks. My dad had bought me a convertible for graduation and I thought I looked so cute in it. He even had my initials embroidered into the dashboard; ESD- Emily Diaz.
I got to the store, got what I wanted and headed back out. When I got to my car there was group of kids hanging around the store parking lot. They were blasting music and being rowdy. I ignored them and got to my car, but before I could get it going they surrounded me. Two rather obnoxious boys were making fun of me and telling me some very inappropriate things. One of the girls, named Elaina, stopped them. I knew her from school, but we never even spoken a word to each other. She was a Chola (Mexican gangster girl) and I was on the student council… two different worlds.
I put my car in reverse and drove away, but I only got to the end of the parking when I heard the girl shout… wait!
I slammed the brakes and she came running up to me and asked if I could give her a ride home. Like I said I didn’t really know that girl, but I decided to help her out anyway. She thanked me and hopped in.
I asked her for directions to her house but instead she asked if we could drive around a bit. I wasn’t game for that and told her so. She then asked if she could come to my place and hang out for a while. I reluctantly agreed.
At home we played video games and talked. She was an interesting person and she said that I was pretty cool. It was getting late and I was really tired, but she was just getting her second wind.
I told Elaina that I was sleepy, so disappointed, she nodded and went for the door. I felt bad, so I offered her a ride home. She thanked me and said I had done a lot already. I was confused, what had I done? I asked and she told me that the guys back at the store were planning on robbing it, and she was to keep an eye out. My arrival saved her from that. I told her I was just at the right place at the right time. We laughed.
I told her that my parents were gone for the weekend so if wanted to sleep over she could. Right away she said yes! I was already in bed when she came out of the shower and got under the covers with me. I didn’t know what to make of that. I was tense and felt her soft warm hands tracing my body. I turned to her and she smiled. Before I could say anything she leaned in and gave me a kiss. I felt good, so I just let it happen. We ended up having sex all right long.
In the morning I was in the living room eating cereal and watching cartoons when Elaina sat beside me. She was ready to go, and this time I thanked her for an awesome night. We kissed long and passionately. We had some more sex.
Then this tough chola chick made on odd request. She asked if I could tie her up. I was floored. I simply nodded. We went into the garage and found rope and duct tape.
Back in the living room she spread out on the couch belly down.
I guess she has been through this before.
She wore tan baggy Dickie pants, b/w converse sneakers, a black shirt with a low rider air brushed on it, and her long black hair in a tail.
I took her feet and taped them good. After some time I had her tied tight.
Before I gagged my chola I asked if I could take pictures, she agreed, and I did just that. I kept her like that all day. After her second day I drove her home and came home feeling good.
I never thought of myself as a lesbian, but I must say I am now.
Elaina went home and I didn’t hang out with her after that. I left to LA still thinking about Elaina.
Almost thirty years later I still think back to that magical moment back in 1996 when I got to tie up and have sex with a chola girl.
