Got caught sniffing her dirty panties?

I am not sure if she caught me in the act or not. My g/f's besties came to stay for a long weekend at our place. I always try and check her bag for what panties she is and will be wearing during her stay. My g/f got up and went to work. I thought her bestie was down in the kitchen making coffee. Well I guess she heard me going into her room above the kitchen. I snuck in there to fid the panties she was wearing yesterday. I found a black gstring balled up in her yoga pants that she wore the day before. I put them to my nose and sniffed them for awhile and put them back. When I was leaving her room I saw her crouched down on the stairs. I didn't make eye contact or acknowledge her presence. I went back into my room and nearly panicked. Did she see me sniffing her dirty panties??? I waited a few minutes then went down stairs. She was in the kitchen, coffee brewing and now a word was said. I kinda wish she confronted me, then I would have confessed and possibly made a deal with her.
She was going to move in with us for a month until she found a place. All of a sudden she changed her mind. The following weekend when she came over I checked her bag. Usually there are sexy gstrings or lacey thong panties. This time there were two plain grey cotton matching thongs. I wonder if she is on to me now.
