Ming revenge on Alex
Once upon a time in a small town, there was a boy named Alex. He was known as a bully at school, and he relished the power it gave him over others. For some reason, he felt the need to pick on anyone who seemed different. One day, a new kid joined his class—a boy named Ming from China. Ming was bright and cheerful and had an infectious enthusiasm for unusual things, including the infamous Chinese finger trap.
For an entire week, Alex couldn’t resist making fun of Ming. Every time Ming would excitedly talk about how cool Chinese finger traps were, Alex would roll his eyes and scoff, "They don’t even work!" Ming, however, was undeterred.
Finally, Ming said, “I’ll bring one tomorrow and show you they work!” Alex, feeling confident, replied, “I’ll put one on each finger!” They decided to meet in a secluded hallway between the girls' toilets and a part of the school that was still under construction, where they wouldn’t be disturbed.
The next morning, full of anticipation, Ming brought the finger trap into school. With a mischievous grin, Alex set up the challenge. He stuck his fingers into the contraption and, with one hand holding onto the railing, began to pull.
To his surprise, as he tugged, the finger trap only got tighter and more challenging to escape. After a moment of struggling, he finally admitted, “Okay, they do work!” But before he could say more, Ming seized his moment. In a swift motion, he pulled Alex’s shirt over his head and managed to tie the drawstring of Alex’s shorts to his shoelaces.
Before Alex could react, he found himself tangled and stuck, standing there in bright green underwear as giggles erupted from a group of girls who had just stepped out of the restroom. They walked past, some playfully swatting at his bottom, while others took pictures on their phones, laughing at his predicament.
As the laughter died down and Alex realized how ridiculous he looked, he felt a mix of embarrassment and anger. But deep down, something shifted. Ming had stood up to him in a way he had never expected.
From that day on, Alex began reflecting on his actions. He realized that maybe bullying someone simply because they were different was not the way to be. Inspired by Ming’s resilience, Alex approached him the next day, this time with a sincere apology.
To his surprise, Ming accepted the apology with a smile and invited him to learn more about Chinese culture. They became friends, bonding over finger traps and more, showing Alex that there was much more to friendship than power.
In the end, Alex learned a valuable lesson about kindness, acceptance, and what it truly meant to be a friend. And together, they made both their school and lives a bit brighter
