My Muslim mom was a gym teacher

When I was 18 my Muslim family moved to USA
Mom was a gym teacher for awhile
A lot of students made fun of her because she wore Muslim clothes
Once during gym class a student threw a basketball at moms ass
If they thought mom was being to bossy the students would spit in her face
She suffered a lot at that job
They said they would treat her better if she wore American clothes
One day Mom wore gym shorts and a belly shirt to gym class
She didn't even wear a hijab
When Mom walked in to gym class the students clapped
Mom was shy in short shorts and a belly shirt
But she got used to it
