Enjoying La Dolce Vita

When I was in the service, my first duty station was in Italy. We got an apartment in this town, it was on the 5th floor (in Italy that the 6th floor) small, but it had a nice balcony.
Saturday morning in the summer we'd sit out there and have coffee and think we were so sophisticated.
what I discovered is that across the way and 2 floors below, there were 2 women living and they would lay on their balcony and sunbath in the nude. They must have been lesbians as they'd often kiss, hug and rub each other, sadly when it got heated, they'd go inside.
