Got A Call from An Old Ex
I get a random call at work that turned out to be an ex girlfriend of mine from almost 20 years ago. Her first name showed up on the caller ID but I didn't know the last name. She is married now, as am I. I was half surprised and half thinking it was spam so I just let it go to VM.
She's been on my mind ever since. We had a relationship that lasted about 5 years, and she still looks good, if not better per her FB photos. When we finally ended, things were amicable and we chatted once or twice shortly after.
I tried calling her back on my lunch break but she didn't answer. I've been wondering ever since what made her call me. Was it just a random call to catch up... Is she bored in her marriage and been missing me? Is one of the kids really mine? Lol.
I'm apprehensive about making a 2nd attempt or send a text but I hope she returns my return call. Funny thing is that I guess I'm bored in my marriage and I need excitement. Part of why we went our separate ways are some of the same things I see in my wife, but I actually think I probably would've been better off marrying her at this point.
I can't even say I'm looking for anything to really pop off but I suddenly now want to talk to her really bad- but I don't want to look like I'm forcing it... Maybe she dialed by mistake- but then, why has she held on to my number for so long? We go back to the era before moving data from phone to phone was a simple thing.
Probably one of the more tame stories on here but I just had to download.
If you really think there is any chance that you might've fathered a kid with her and didn't know then you should definitely keep trying. If that's true she might feel guilty she never told you. Unless you're planning to cheat I would keep your wife in the loop.
You should try to get a hold of her. It could be just wanting to catch up or something more. You'll always wonder if you don't pursue getting back in touch with her. Don't be pushy about it , but also don't just let it go.
I'm also considering the fact that she is married and I don't want to call at the wrong time. I'm going to try her again soon though.
I had an old flame from 35 yrs ago - "Gorgeous, looked like a Playboy model, charming, everyone loved her!" She really loved me, and me her, but I had a child that needed my looking after in another state. Broke our hearts to separate....
Just for the heck of it my wife finally did a better search than I was capable of.
I'd tried off and on for decades....not real hard. Just to see how she was doing. Tell her I was fine.
After dinner one night, my wife asked me if this girl was maybe 2 years older than me.
Yes.
She said come to the Dell. I think I found her.
But she didn't look happy....
It was my old friend. But she had died last year.
