So what do I know about this? Nothing but I saw the films. UNTIL 15 August 2024 when I spent four days with Charlie a 102 year old WWII veteran 1940-1942 Pearl Harbor severely wounded survivor (Med. Discharged 1942) Charlie then attended University majoring in psychology for two years dropping out and taking a job as what today is called, Psych. Tech. In 1944 called an attendant. The employment Charlie accepted was at a Major then called Psychopathic asylum or Mental Asylum. In a heavily populated state, at a major asylum. From 1944-1957 In 1960 Charlie finished law school and was employed by the United States department of justice from 1961-1976.

THIS VERY INTERESTING MAN, CHARLIE Related this story to me. There ought to be a movie, one that focuses On the horrors Experienced by so many female patients. Horrors Back to this day Under the rug. In the movie Francis, Tiny fragments of this horror depicted, 3 scenes Of 30 seconds or less. Charlie guesses Hollywood probably thought Just throw this in, As filler.

Charlie: " The living conditions What's so bad That my parents Thought I was making it up, exaggerating. I guess they call that hyperbole today. Oh these poor girls A lot of them Slept on the floor on mats. They had 1 toilet two commodes They were filthy shit, vomit urine more on the floor than in the commodes. Germs,viruses, diseases, Wasn't any wonder These women got sick so often.

Then Charlie related what he saw but more bizarre, what the old timers told him, guys been working there since the late 19's through the 20' and 30's who Someone happy and encouraged Told him How much things had improved. Improved? Compared to what to really what improvements. Cleaner toilets, beds and clean linen, single daily showers verses weekly group showers with donated lye soap? And Charlie wondered. Oh, the not so sick not acting out, civil tongue gals, well, they slept in dormitories On cots.. Military surplus, What is Charlie said, Toilets weren't much cleaner And they still have to take group showers. So it was the cots called beds better than mats on filthy floors. After all This was being paid for with
taxpayer funds, There were more important issues than a bunch of crazy women.

Let's talk medieval Medical treatment. They didn't have much medicine for the mental ill Back in those days, They had a notion Insulin shock Electro shock EST What's gonna be the magic pill for improvement. But when all else failed, The woman showed no improvement, Transorbital Prefrontal Lobotomy. You guys know, Joseph P. Kennedy JFK's Dad had this procedure done on his own daughter Rosemary. If it was good enough for a Kennedy, Let's just say it was good enough for anybody.

Now comes the part Charlie says Kids under 18 should not be reading. I told Charlie, Not to worry about kids under 18 In 2024. Charlie suspected This practice has been going on For a century Maybe He didn't know. But it was pretty sure It had been going on Since 1915, On that point He was positive. First This activity was going on all over the United States In practically every mental asylum Of long-term duration Publicly run Government funded funded. This activity was not specific to any 1 given state.

Women no matter very young, ugly, fat, skinny, smelly, toothless You get the idea. Have one thing that twisted, sick, in the head, and so called, so called normal Good old boys The kind of guy that would date your daughter. What you don't know can kill you And it might kill your daughter.

The ATTENDANTS You know the guys that watch the girls Lock and unlock the doors That helped the nurses, Help the doctors Help restrain out of control patients, You know the kind of job Charlie had. Part of their job is to let in visitors.

Male visitors Who paid them Often coming in groups Like the military men In world in world war 1 and 2Or singularly They would paint attendant What are they charged. To come in What was called the dirty floors WARDS And have their way with as many women as they pleased. Of course it was rape Of course it was sexual assault It was battery. But what is tragic Is that it was done it happened.
